My name is Jill and I’m a Chicago native who lives in Honolulu, Hawaii.
In 2012, not long after graduating college, I lived out of backpack throughout my 20s traveling around the country and the world. I’ve been blessed to have lived in and visited many different places, which has fueled in me a desire to live authentically and discover adventure – even in my own backyard.
My blog is a collection of experiences since I left my home Chicago to live in Philadelphia, Australia, the Big Island of Hawaii, Wyoming, Denver, Southern California, and more. I also love writing about my travels which have taken me all over the U.S., Thailand, New Zealand, and Tahiti.

I’m so glad I stumbled upon your website. The reviews of WorkaWay versus Help-X were so valuable, especially since I was planning to sign up with WorkaWay today but their website has been down all day. Your resources are terrific and I will be contacting you to have you help me promote my travel site for older women traveling solo, once I get some travel under my belt, so to speak. This has been my dream since I was a child and lived abroad for a year. Now in my retirement I can live this dream for as long as I choose.
